Tuesday 5/27
I love cell phones… But those darn buttons can stick once and a while…
Today’s QF Moment comes courtesy of a co worker of mine (lets call her Allison) who is getting married on Saturday, and as any bride would be 5 days before her wedding, Allison is slightly stressed out getting everything ready.
This morning Allison got a voice mail from someone who is coming to the wedding but is on the groom’s side, said guest was asking if Allison could make her a hair appointment at the salon she’s getting her hair done the morning of the wedding.
I’m newly engaged and certainly no expert but I think this is a little inappropriate. Those who prepare the day of with the bride are: mother of the bride, bridesmaids and possibly the mother of the groom. Other than that I think you have to suck it up and wait to see the lovely lady in white walking down the isle like everyone else.
After consulting with me, Allison called said guest and said that the salon she was using was typically closed on Saturdays and only opening for her bridal party – which is completely true. Problem solved.
Except…
Allison’s fiance “beeped through” at the end of the voice mail message Allison was leaving. Allison clicked over – spoke briefly with her husband to be about whatever and then started to rant regarding said guest’s ridiculous request. Allison got no response, and upon glancing at the cell’s display to see if the call was lost she saw that her phone’s counter had clicked back over the voice mail in progress…
Woops…
So, what’s the protocol for that???
