I worked an 11 hour day yesterday. Over 12 if you count the commute time too. I was exhausted upon getting home…
We had an event at work, where we were expecting 20 people to come, hoping for 40 throughout the night’s three hour time frame… We got about 50 within the first 15 minutes and it was a steady stream of people from there on out.
To say I was frazzled would not begin to cover it… There wasn’t enough food, not enough glasses, not enough chairs or tables, the air conditioning wasn’t working correctly, there was no system in place to process the orders…
All in all I’m told that it was worth it since we nearly doubled our revenue goal… But I can’t help but shake my head in dismay and promise myself that next time, they’ll be more preparation!
