Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July Weekend! I have lots of fun stories to tell you all!
The most Questionably Fabulous thing that occured was during “clean up” which of course was done at the end of the very long day of drinking.
My fiance had made the best BBQ Ribs ever, but he’d made way too many of them. Which obviously is better than too few which was the scenario at the last BBQ we went to with them.
Drunk AC Fabulous decided that it’d be much easier just to load the trays of the baked ribs (those that hadn’t been BBQ’d already) directly into the fridge without actually removing them from the baking sheets and bagging them or wrapping them in tin foil…
In true clumsy fashion I yanked the ribs off the stove top and towards myself balancing on one foot as the other held the refrigerator door open. This would have all gone off without a hitch has the ribs been simply ribs on a pan. But they weren’t. After my graceful yank a huge amount of MEAT JUICE came splashing over the sides of the pan and all over my shirt, legs, shoes and kitchen floor.
I let out a huge gasp which triggered a lull to come across the room. The friends who happen to be watching me just starred in silence and I stood, froze, pan in hand, with meat juice all over me for a few moments, completely stunned with what has just occurred.
Bob Dog was happy to help clean up. I’m sure he has a little sumtin to say about the whole debacle.
