It is said that a picture is worth 1,000 words… Well, I have to say, there is no picture that could have compared to my future father-in-law’s (FFIL) engagement party toast.
I’d heard some “horror stories” about my FFIL’s toasts in the past – both of my future brother-in-laws got married last summer, so I thought I had prepared myself. But how do you prepare for this??? Here was his opening line:
“So, I never really wanted to have kids but my wife convinced me to anyway… So here we are today…”
